Common Heat Treatment Preparation Questions
Q: How long do we have to be out of the house?
A: For our chemical treatments you need to remain out of the house for 6 hours after the treatment is completed. If you have pets, they should stay out of the house for a minimum of 8 hours.
Q: What do we do with all of our clothes?
A: Bed bugs can live on your clothes so all clothing needs to be run through a dryer that will reach at least 140 degrees. After drying your clothes, place them in a clean bag that can be sealed at the top.
Q: Do I have to get rid of all my furniture?
A: No, you don’t have to get rid of any furniture. We treat your furniture so you can save it. Beds, couches, dressers, and any other furniture should remain in the house so we can treat it.
Q: Is it safe for my pets?
A: Yes, once the chemical has dried it is completely safe for your animals. Because animals can go places that humans can’t, we recommend keeping them out of the house for a minimum of 8 hours after treatment.
Q: Can we clean our house after treatment?
A: Yes you can clean your house, but if you are mopping please be sure to stay at least a foot away from the baseboards.
